Nakai James ..... a.k.a "El Kabong"

Conyers Middle School - 8th Grade
Youth Track Experience - 7th year
14 yrs old - Youth Age Division for 2012

Events: 800m, 1500m

Nakai has been a model of consistency for Coach Muhammad in the middle distance events. Under Coach Charles, he has qualified for the AAU Junior Olympics in every year except 2011. But Nakai is an all-around athlete. He has been a great football player, basketball, etc. In addition, he has been a National favorite in the Race Walk, and has also competed in field events such as the Javelin.

"As a track Coach, we can tend to get very selfish. I would love it if Nakai could commit to track and Cross Country because I believe that he could elevate his performance to another level. I think he has that ability to be a National Class athlete. But balancing all his athletic abilities must be difficult. But welook for Nakai to continue to be a model of consistency in our middle distance events, like he always is", Coach Charles.
