Cameron Howell ..... a.k.a "Mama Said"

Narve J. Harris Elementary School - 5th Grade
Youth Track Experience - 2nd year
12 yrs old - Midget Age Division for 2012

Events: 400m, 800m

Personal Bests:

400m = 1:04.48    2012 Clayton County Championship

800m = 2:27.91    2012 AAU Area 8 National Qualifier

Cameron came off his first season with impressive results. He was a solid performer on the Midget Boys 4x400m relay last season that qualified for Nationals, and also just missed the finals of the 400m in the AAU Area 6 Regional Championship (by one/one hundreth of a second). We are looking for him to continue that momentum into this season.

"Cameron has tremendous potential. But with tremendous potential comes great expectations. I know that if Cameron commits to his craft, he will become one of the nations finest long sprinters. His long stride and his gazelle like running style are characteristics of a great 400m runner. And I know he is just scratching the surface. I am hoping that he focuses on his craft because he is a great talent waiting to happen", says Coach Charles.
