Matoaka returns to the team after a year and a half stint with Track Phi Track. While there, she experienced great success as part of their relay teams, even setting the Georgia USATF State record in the 4 x 800m relay. She looks to resume the great success she had under Coach Charles for the three years from 2008 to 2010, and hopes to make the transition into high school as a standout.

"I'm very pleased and excited to have Matoaka back. It's very hard to lose one of your most endeared athletes. But I knew she was in good hands with Coach Moses at Track Phi Track. Now, we just hope to recapture that magic we had and really burst onto the high school scene and write a new chapter in her career. If this summer is any indication of what's to come, she will become the athlete I know she is capable of being".   Coach Charles Muhammad.
